So, wonderful book club last night.
The food and ambiance at Jess' place - to quote the bastard Guy Fierie - On Point!
Ha. Hate him, but you can't deny some delicious guacamole, salsa, enchilladas, and sangria. NOM.
Oh, and the book was there too. Ha. Overall it was received with enthusiasm.

Next up, Michelle is on tap for sometime in June.
Thrilled to have something to pick up before vacation time.

If you can listen to sound, I recommend it. The biting sarcasm and swearing come across so beautifully in the slow slur of the half conscious.

Dog Days of Summer?

I feel like book club enthusiasm is waning.
Thoughts?
I still read regardless so it's no skin off my back but I do enjoy seeing you lovlies.
Maybe I am just being paranoid.
Or maybe its the gloomy Monday in me talking.

Next up on May 23rd we have Left Neglected by Lisa Genova at Jess and Dave's place.
Sounds like an interesting yet heavy book... but what else can one expect from a neuroscientist type?

I believe we still have Michelle lined up for June or July time.
And I fear we've lost Mike forever.
So if anyone knows more dudes who want to participate, I know it would be appreciated.

Also, if anyone likes to field trip, sit by the river, drink, and enjoy Harry Potter, Books and Bars is doing a special event book club July 12th talking about all 7 books.
They host either at the Aster Cafe or Bryant Lake Bowl... not sure where the HP fest will be yet but it sounds intriguing.

Sister Sarah and I went to the Aster for the Hunger Games Book club... It was a pretty fun thing, cool atmosphere and a large room filled with nerds who read teen sci fi and like to drink wine.
Whats not to love?

I'd be into it if any other wizard wannabe out there wants to check it out.
