So, Book Club Redux at Sarah and Ben's was on Sunday.
There was kids, dogs, lots of potatoes, and not as much books :) It was, in the true sense, a smorgasbord.
Each had their own book to read from the Holiday Party which was fun! But I think people were busy and not everyone got to finish theirs.
This did, however, foster lots of convo about other must reads that people got for Christmas or came across recently.
Which is always a bonus for book clubbers!
I love adding books to my spreadsheet!
Yes, I have one.
... Okay, several.
Don't judge!
If you had read 3/4 of the way through a book before realizing you had already read it before (with multiple books) you would make lists too!
On the plus side, definitely a sign of a bad book when I can't even remember reading it the 1st time.
Some books are so horrible and scarring (ahem...Eat, Pray, Love?) that they haunt my dreams. To forget them would be a blessing.
But at least they had an impact on me. I can't imagine anything worse as an author to know your words had so little effect that I couldn't even recall I had read them... even after I had RE-read them.
Ouch.
Anyway, we march on, before I get sentimental and start to anthropomorphize the poor little rejects that get re-read against their will.
Tragic.
So, who's ready for Comi-con Midwest Style?
Coming up for CPBC #19 we have Anna and Heidi hosting with a twist:
Reading some comic books/series that have been turned movie or TV shows.
I for one am excited, and apparently, easily distracted.
Pretty Pictures!
Til next time,
Melizard
